The Initial Consultation
Your first appointment with the Dentist will be a half hour consultation, at which we will discuss your medical and dental history, treatment needs and the range of care available.  No treatment will be given, only x-rays and other diagnostic procedures.  It is about getting to know you.  However if you require urgent treatment this can take precedence.

As an aid to the usual private contract, we suggest patients look at health insurance e.g. HSA.

Under Sixteens
We offer a low cost scheme in respect of children up to sixteen, at £18.00 per visit.  The scheme includes exam, treatment to milk teeth and fissure seal of permanent teeth.  Any other treatment to permanent teeth will be charged at the usual adult rate.

Charges
Charges will be explained once a Treatment Plan has been agreed.  Fees are charged after each completed item of treatment.

Payment in full is possible at any time during treatment but is expected on completion of a course of treatment.  We accept payment by cash, cheque and credit or debit card.

We make a charge of £10.00 per month for accounts not paid within one month of the charge being raised.

Appointments
The reception staff will usually make your next appointment before you leave.  Routine appointments will be confirmed by post two weeks before.

Urgent appointments can be made by contacting us at the beginning of the day.  The receptionist will arrange a time with you on that day if necessary.  We do have an answer phone service so call at any time.

Missed appointments
We may charge for any appointment that is not kept, so please contact the Practice by telephone, Fax, E-mail or letter if you are unable to attend.  It would be appreciated if you could give at least 24 hours notice of cancellation, as someone else may need your appointment.
